The Cedar hosts the release party for Secret Stash Records’ “Twin Cities Funk & Soul: Lost R&B Grooves from Minneapolis & Saint Paul 1964-1979.” This compilation digs into our city’s musical history to find the classic “Minneapolis sound.”
And speaking of funk and soul, DJ/dance night HOTPANTS will be celebrating its fifth anniversary across the street at the Nomad—we’re guessing it’ll double as the release show afterparty.
